Northants need to overcome Notts hoodoo to reach T20 final

The Steelbacks will have to overcome their Nottinghamshire hoodoo if they are to reach the final of this season's NatWest T20 Blast competition.

That is because the Steelbacks have been drawn to face the Outlaws in the first semi-final on finals day at Edgbaston next Saturday (August 20).

Northants have not beaten Nottinghamshire in any format since 2006 and lost to the Outlaws in their T20 game at the County Ground last month.

All four teams who will head to finals day originate from the North Group, with Durham Jets and Yorkshire Vikings to contest the other semi-final.

Northants, who lost to Lancashire Lightning in last season’s showpiece, face Notts at 11am, with Durham’s game against Yorkshire starting at 2.30pm.

The final will take place at 6.45pm.
