Northants include 'Covid-19 guarantee' as they announce season ticket packages for 2021

Northants have announced season ticket details for this summer - with all options including a 'Covid-19 guarantee' so that supporters can 'order with confidence' in case matches are again forced to be played behind closed doors in 2021.

The club is hopeful that spectators will be allowed in to watch the cricket, with the County Champonship season starting on Thursday, April 8 with a clash against Kent at Wantage Road.

The white ball fixtures have yet to be released, but the Vitality T20 Blast is scheduled to start in early June, with the Royal London Cup 50-over competition set to be staged at the same time as the new Hundred competition in July and August.

The 2020 season was severely disrupted by the Coronavirus pandemic, with the few first-class and T20 matches that were played once the season swung into action from August onwards all staged behind closed doors.

Cricket was played behind closed doors in 2020, but Northants are hopeful supporters will be allowed in this summer

The club have announced that 'supporters who chose to roll over their 2020 season ticket don't need to do anything, we'll be in touch in the next few weeks', and they have also revealed the ticket options for those wishing to buy for this summer - with that Covid-19 guarantee part of every package.

The Northants club statement read: "Order with confidence with our Covid-19 guarantee.

"We’re looking forward to welcoming our supporters back to the County Ground in 2021 and a season ticket is the best way to ensure you can be there.

"As we continue to follow guidance from the UK Government and ECB, there may be times where crowd numbers are restricted or matches must be played behind closed doors.

"Season ticket holders will always have priority in claiming any available seats at a fixture.

"In the event matches are cancelled or have to be played behind closed doors, season ticket holders will be given a range of options at the end of the season once we know the extent of any distruption."

There are a range of options, including a Vitality T20 Blast season ticket, which is priced at £99 and includes admission to all seven home Steelbacks Blast group fixtures, as well as priority access to tickets for finals games.

The club's Platinum (£370) and Gold (£265) season tickets include admission to every Northamptonshire home fixture, including all red and white ball matches, in 2021.

The Silver (£240) and Bronze (£175) tickets secure admission to every Northamptonshire fixture in first-class cricket.

For the young supporters, a Junior Platinum ticket (£99) includes admission to every Northants home fixture and the Junior (£49) secures entry to every LV= Insurance County Championship and Royal London Cup home fixture.
