Northamptonshire have secured the services of Alex Wakely, David Willey and Kyle Coetzer on new two-year contracts.
The trio have all agreed to extend their stays at Wantage Road with Wakely also being given the added responsibility of becoming the club’s vice-captain.
He and the increasingly-impressive Willey are both homegrown products while Scotsman Coetzer has created a good impression since he signed permanently following a loan stint from Durham last season.
And head coach David Ripley admitted that he was delighted with the development.
He said: “It’s a positive thing for us as they are all talented players.
“I’ve said that all along if we get the right senior players in amongst the good youngsters that we’ve got then we can push forward.
“I always thought they would stay but you don’t know until it’s signed and sealed.
“Hopefully they all see this is a good place to be and one where they will all get some opportunities.”
