Injury scare for batsman Keogh

Rob Keogh has had an X-ray on a finger injury sustained in the pre-season friendly with Yorkshire.

The Northamptonshire batsman was hit by seamer Liam Plunkett in the morning session and forced to retire hurt.

The results are expected tomorrow morning but it is a worry the County could do without ahead of their season opener against Durham on Sunday as their batting stocks are already depleted.

Both David Sales and Rob Newton are currently on the sidelines with calf and thumb injuries respectively, which have led to their unavailability this week, and will undergo fitness tests later in the week.
