David Murphy and Con de Lange have signed new contracts with Northamptonshire.
The pair have committed their immediate futures to the County Ground until the end of the 2014 and 2013 seasons respectively and are the latest players to sign new deals with the club.
Murphy has established himself as the first-choice wicket-keeper after a number of solid performances behind the stumps and de Lange, despite rarely appearing in the four-day arena, was the leading wicket-taker in both the Clydesdale Bank 40 and Friends Life t20 last season.
Speaking about the news, head coach David Ripley commented: “Con’s one day form was very consistent and his professionalism around the squad is a valuable asset to us.”
“David took his opportunity when it was presented to him earlier this season, he has shown great skill up to the stumps and a knack of building important partnerships down the order.”
