Northamptonshire will host New Zealand A in a one-day fixture on Thursday, July 31.
The fixture is one of two warm-up games the tourists will play prior to a triangular series that will also involve the England Lions and Sri Lanka A.
The County already have a four-day game against Sri Lanka on their calendar (June 5-8) and this latest addition strengthens the relationship that the club have with the ECB regarding the hosting of tour games.
Chief executive David Smith commented: “We were asked the question about whether we would want this fixture and we said that we did for all the reasons that I’ve mentioned before.
“There is a connection with Bob Carter (former Northants coach) in New Zealand and we want to showcase touring teams here
“The more of these games we can get the better and we want to make sure that we’re considered for an Australia game in 2015.”
