Corbisiero cameo a ‘massive positive’ for Saints boss Mallinder
Jim Mallinder says Alex Corbisiero’s cameo in Saints’ success at Twickenham on Saturday was a ‘massive positive’.
The England prop came on for Alex Waller during the second half and came agonisingly close to a try in the 30-25 victory against Harlequins.
It was Corbisiero’s first appearance since late September, when he damaged shoulder ligaments in a win over Bath at Franklin’s Gardens.
And Mallinder was delighted to have the 26-year-old back in action.
“It was a massive positive to get him back,” said the Saints boss.

“The two Waller brothers have been doing fantastically well for us, but to get someone who is as class as Alex Corbisiero back is a massive boost to the squad.
“He’s fine after the game, he’s fit and looking forward to next week.”
