The indefatigable flanker, who was recently crowned Supporters Club player of the season, was named players’ and supporters’ player of the year.

It is reward for a consistent campaign that has seen Clark, who is yet to be capped by England, make 30 appearances so far.

The 25-year-old’s drive and determination helped Saints secure top spot in the Aviva Premiership regular-season standings.

And he will now hope to pick up a second league winners medal in as many years as Jim Mallinder’s men enter the play-offs this weekend.

Hooker Mike Haywood was named Saints’ young player of the year.

The 23-year-old has been competing with Dylan Hartley and has made a total of 28 appearances during the current campaign.

He started both the Amlin Challenge Cup and Aviva Premiership final victories last season and will hope for more success this month.

George North’s score against Gloucester on the opening day of the season has been named the best try of the campaign.

David Powell was given a lifetime achievement award, while surgeon David Stock was named as clubman of the year after playing a big part in players recovering from injury.
