The Samoan star scored three times during the second half to help Saints shoot down Saracens 26-7 and secure a place in the LV= Cup final.

Pisi and Co will fight it out for the trophy against Exeter Chiefs at Sandy Park next Sunday.

And rather than basking in the deserved praise that came his way after Saturday’s win, Pisi preferred to focus on the end goal of claiming this season’s first piece of silverware.

“It’s always good to win against Sarries and win at home,” said the centre.

“Three tries doesn’t really matter to me, I think the fact that we won and the opportunity to get some silverware is the most important thing.”

Saints had gone in 7-6 down at half-time, with Saracens bossing the game, but they turned it all around in the second period, putting in a punishing display that earned the win.

Pisi, who put the finishing touches to three slick team tries, was delighed with his side’s overall display.

And he said “All we’re doing is moving off lines and getting space for ourselves out wide, so credit to the forwards for that.

“We came out in the second half and stuck to what we do best.

“We were a bit loose in the second half, a couple of offloads here and there went astray so we struck to what we’re good at and it worked for us.

“We’ve just got to stay strong for this last game.”
