Young people had a chance to become radio interviewers for the day to find out what life was like for the older generation in a radio project.
Groundworks and Northamptonshire County Council teamed up with Corby Radio to hold an inter-generational project where young people interviewed older members of the community.
Des Barber, station manager of Corby Radio, chaired the meetings to inspire the youngsters.
He said: “It was what I call a really nice project.
“I learned a lot and I am not that much younger than those interviewed.
“The youngsters learned a lot – about pounds, shillings and pence and they were talking about how they could go to the cinema for sixpence.”
The interviews will be broadcast on Corby Radio next week on a day to be confirmed.
