Today’s article celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Castle theatre in Wellingborough serves as a timely reminder of the quality of theatres and entertainment on offer on our doorstep every week.
The Castle theatre, Lighthouse Theatre in Kettering, Masque Theatre at Burton Latimer and the Core at Corby are fantastic venues offering a wide selection of high quality amateur and professional productions throughout the year.
You could travel to Northampton or Milton Keynes to see some of the very biggest names in music, comedy and theatre.
However, don’t for a second under-estimate what is on offer here.
The theatres mentioned above are supplemented by a number of other excellent venues offering quality nights out.
So, when you fancy a night at the theatre, look local first.
This newspaper is proud to play its small part in promoting the quality on offer but, as with so many services these days, if we don’t use it, then there is a danger we could lose it.
Let’s make sure that isn’t allowed to happen.
