Letter: Why is Northamptonshire's railway infrastructure so poor?
I write to you concerning the issue of why we still don't have proper rail connections between Wellingborough railway station and Northampton and Peterborough railway stations.
There is a current service between Peterborough and Kings Lynn, but it is not direct and you are unable to go directly to the popular seaside resort of Hunstanton as one was able to do years ago when it was part of this service and connection.
We are lacking a proper railway infrastructure.
Putting emphasis on just having high speed trains overlooks the problem of a badly maintained and thought out railway service.
