Today (Tuesday) her father, Anton, made an appeal for Veronica to get in touch.

He said: “Papu is asking you Veronica to come back home.

“Nobody here is angry or mad for what you did.

“Please come back and don’t be angry with your mother Elena who loves you very much with all our love.

“Your family cares and is waiting for you to come back home.”

A 19-year-old Enfield man was arrested on Tuesday, August 9, as part of the investigation into her whereabouts. He has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Around 20 police officers are now working on the case around the clock in a bid to find her.

Det Supt Elliot Foskett, head of crime at Northamptonshire Police, said: “We strongly believe Veronica is in the Enfield or Brixton areas of London and are appealing for people living there to contact us if you know of her whereabouts.

“We are extremely concerned for Veronica’s safety as we have had no sighting of her now for almost three weeks. We are hoping that someone out there can help us to find her.

An incident room has been set up by Northamptonshire Police and we have a team of around 20 officers both here and in London working around the clock on the case”.
