Children tied up, coloured and messed up their hair for a wacky fundraising event at their school.
Most of the 240 pupils at Park Junior School, in Great Park Street, Wellingborough, joined in with the crazy hair day last Friday.
The event was organised by the pupils themselves and raised £63 for Northamptonshire Animals Needing Nurturing and Adoption.
The charity was picked after it visited the school to give a presentation of its work last term.
Deputy headteacher Jenny May said: “It shows real initiative from the children to organise this themselves and raise so much cash.
“It turned out to be a great day and the children had lots of fun.
“The money is also going to a very good cause.”
