A DRUNKEN yob who spat in the face of a police officer when he was arrested is facing a significant unpaid work order.
Connor Gillespie was drinking in The Village Inn in Corby on April 7 when he was asked to leave for being abusive to staff.
Police gave him a 24-hour dispersal notice, but 45 minutes later he returned to the same pub.
And when he was arrested, he spat in the face of an officer.
Gillespie, 20, of Prentice Walk, Corby, admitted assaulting an officer at Corby Magistrates Court on Friday.
He was given 80 hours unpaid work and ordered to pay £100 compensation to the officer and £85 costs.
