Work has started to turn a former factory site into 29 new homes.
Westleigh Homes has started to revive the site in Midland Road, Higham Ferrers, by building a mix of two and three bedroom semi-detached houses and three and four bedroom detached properties.
Demolition has been completed and the construction work is expected to take about 18 months.
The properties will offer a variety of layouts including kitchen/dining rooms and en-suite bathrooms and prospective homeowners can buy their new home through the Help to Buy scheme with as little as a five per cent deposit and just 75 per cent mortgage.
The development is a short walk from the village centre and has good transport links with the A6 and A45.
Robert Orr, sales and marketing manager at Westleigh Homes, said: “This brand new housing development continues our commitment to providing high specification new homes across the region and we’re very pleased to be offering new properties in such a sought after location, especially as they will regenerate brownfield land and transform it into a thriving community for the benefit of the area.”
Westleigh Homes builds contemporary new homes across the Midlands and designs homes and specifications with modern lifestyles in mind.
It says its new homes embrace existing buildings, styles and materials, whilst also ensuring the build has minimal impact on its local environment.
