A statement on the Anglian Water website says: “We’re really sorry but some customers in Wellingborough may have very low water pressure or no water at all.

“We’ve got a burst water main in your area that we’re working hard to get fixed so that we can get your supply back to normal as soon as possible.

“This should be by midday today but we’ll update this message if anything changes.”

Once the water is back, it may look cloudy or discoloured so people are advised to run the tap for a couple of minutes and it should clear.
