Work has begun on a new housing development in Corby’s Priors Hall Park.
Last week saw the turf cutting ceremony of The Fairways, a collection of two, three and four-bed properties from Kier Living Eastern.
The Fairways forms part of the growing community of Priors Hall Park, which is set in 1,200 acres of parkland.
With 16 different property types available, it will appeal to a variety of new homebuyers from first-time buyers and downsizers to growing families looking for more living space.
David Thomas, sales and marketing director for Kier Living Eastern, said: “Corby is a sought-after location and a wonderful place to live.
“Our site is well placed in Priors Hall Park with plenty of open space and just walking distance from many great amenities.
“The Fairways is a fantastic collection of family homes which we expect to be a real part of the community when they start to be completed next year.
“Our show homes will be ready for people to come and have a look at what is on offer here early in 2017.”
Two lakes will form part of the neighbourhood where residents can indulge in a range of outdoor activities.
The development is also set to benefit from a newly-built community centre where residents and visitors alike can come together, while the children will love the different play areas which are set to be created.
The Corby Business Academy, a secondary school, was opened at Priors Hall in 2008, while a primary school and nursery have also been built on site.
