WOMEN can get advice about keeping themselves safe at a session tomorrow which is being held by police after a spate of sex attacks.
The women’s personal safety session will take place at All Saints Church Hall, Midland Road, Wellingborough, from 6pm to 8pm.
The session will cover topics including personal safety, planning a route home, domestic abuse, hate crime and safety on a night out, including date rape drugs.
Police will also be giving away personal safety alarms subject to availability.
The session comes after a spate of six sex attacks which took place in Wellingborough in January and February.
Wellingborough police sector commander Insp Nick Lyall is urging women in the town to drop in to the personal safety session for as long or short a time as they wish to get some advice from officers on how to keep themselves safe.
Insp Lyall said: “Just turn up, drop in and the team will be there to speak to you.”
