A 30-year-old woman motorcyclist from Corby died in a collision with a lorry in Oakley Road in the town.
The accident happened at about 5.20pm on Monday (September 16) at the junction with Lyveden Way.
The lorry, driven by a 37-year-old man from North Wales, was in collision with the woman’s 125cc motorcycle.
A police spokesman said: “Sadly, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The lorry driver was uninjured.”
Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision and, in particular, are keen to talk to the driver of a small white car who is believed to have stopped at the scene before police arrived.
The road was closed for several hours while officers dealt with the collision.
