Woman injured after collision with car in Northampton

A woman was taken to hospital after she was involved in a collision with a car in Northampton that failed to stop.

The pedestrian was crossing Weedon Road near to Homebase and Argos at about 5pm on Friday afternoon when she was involved in a collision with a blue car, which is thought to be a Toyota.

The driver is described as a black man, aged between 30 to 40-years-old. The vehicle did not stop at the scene and travelled towards the town centre.

The woman was then taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries as a result of the collision.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this collision or who may have any information regarding it.
