Drivers faced long delays after a four-vehicle crash on the A14 during rush-hour last night.
Emergency services were called to the smash on the eastbound carriageway of the A14 between Junction 7 and 8 at Kettering at 5.25pm yesterday (Tuesday).
A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: “There were no serious injuries, but one woman was trapped in her car and had to be freed.”
Motorists faced long queues while the scene was cleared, with drivers at a standstill on the A14 as well as on delays on surrounding roads, including the A43 heading to Kettering.
The road was re-opened just after 7pm.
