Woman bitten on face and arm during dog attack in Wellingborough

Officers are appealing for witnesses after a woman was bitten by a dog in Croyland Road, Wellingborough.

The incident happened between 2.45pm and 3pm on Sunday, December 3, when the victim was walking along Croyland Road opposite HI-Q Tyres.

A police spokesman said: “On the way, she met a man walking his German Shepherd dog.

“The dog jumped up and bit her twice on the face and once on the right arm.

“The man left the area and did not give the victim his details.

“The man is described as white, in his 70s, of slim build, about 5ft 9in with grey, balding hair.

“The German Shepherd was a brown/gold colour.”
