Woman assaulted and thrown to the floor during bag snatch in Corby

A woman was assaulted and thrown to the floor during a robbery on a walkway between Oakley Road and Seaton Crescent, Corby.

Burglars stole jewellery from a home in Kingsthorpe on Friday after breaking in through a rear window.

The robber approached the victim from behind at about 11pm last night (Sunday).

A police spokesman said: “Her bag was snatched from her shoulder and when she held on, she was assaulted and thrown to the floor.

“The offender then ran off towards Seaton Crescent with the victim’s bag.”

The offender was a white man with a slim build and aged in his mid to late 20s.

He was about 5ft 9in, clean shaven and he spoke with a Corby accent.

He wore a light coloured blue hooded top.
