Woman airlifted after fall from horse

A 64-year old woman was airlifted to hospital after falling from her horse in a field near Kettering.

The incident happened on Wednesday, December 4, in a field next to the A14. East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) were first on the scene but requested the attendance of Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA).

The crew arrived at the scene of the incident shortly after 1.05pm. On arrival, the patient was complaining of pain to her left leg. The WNAA doctor and paramedic assessed the patient for what was a suspected fractured femur. She was flown to University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire for further assessment and treatment.
