Independent witnesses are being sought following an alleged assault which happened last year.
The incident happened last year at about 9.45am on Friday, November 6, in Asda, Rushden, with police only now releasing details.
The victim was approached by another woman who hit her in the face, knocking her glasses to the floor while she was shopping.
It was reported that the offender, who had a pram with her, also bit into the victim’s boyfriend’s arm when he tried to intervene.
Both parties were spoken with and gave conflicting accounts. Officers are now seeking any other shoppers who may have witnessed the incident.
The alleged offender is described as white, about 5ft, with black hair pulled back into a ponytail. She was wearing a black or grey coloured coat with a hood and fur collar.
