Witnesses sought after school attack

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an attack outside an infants school.

Two women attacked a third outside Rothwell Victoria Infants School between 3pm and 3.45pm on Monday, March 19.

One of the women, described as white, in her early 20s, 5ft 5in tall, of medium build with dark purple dyed hair clipped up at the back, a fresh complexion and wearing a white T-shirt, verbally abused the woman and then assaulted her.

The second described as white, in her early 50s, 5ft tall, of large build, with shoulder length hair and a pale complexion and wearing black then punched the victim in the face.

The attackers then left in a blue Ford Mondeo estate, which they are believed to have arrived in.

Police were called in to guard the school gates as parents dropped off and picked up their children last week.
