On the evening of Wednesday, March 15, two women were waiting at the crossing on Wellingborough Road - opposite St Edmund’s Street - and noticed a man standing next to them.

As they crossed the road, the offender grabbed one of the women’s handbag, but in a bid to keep her possessions safe, a struggle ensued and the man ran off down St Edmund’s Street towards Cliftonville.

The woman managed to keep hold of her bag.
