
On the evening of Wednesday, March 15, two women were waiting at the crossing on Wellingborough Road - opposite St Edmund’s Street - and noticed a man standing next to them.
As they crossed the road, the offender grabbed one of the women’s handbag, but in a bid to keep her possessions safe, a struggle ensued and the man ran off down St Edmund’s Street towards Cliftonville.
The woman managed to keep hold of her bag.
The offender is described as 5ft 8inches to 5ft 10inches tall and aged between 25-30 years old with olive skin.
