Doctors in Corby are urging people to add the fight against flu to their New Year resolutions.
Free immunisation against flu remains available for those aged over the age of 65, pregnant women, children aged two to four and anyone who is deemed vulnerable because of other health conditions.
A spokesman for Corby Clinical Commissioning Group said: “While almost 70 per cent of Corby pensioners have had a flu jab, more than half of those in the other categories have yet to be vaccinated this winter.”
Anyone seeking a flu immunisation is asked to contact their GP to make arrangements. People should check surgery opening times to find out when vaccinations are available.
