Were you the good Samaritan who helped in late-night incident between Corby and Thrapston?

A good Samaritan who helped a woman who was allegedly assaulted by her partner is being sought by police.Officers have appealed for information from a passer-by who tried to help the victim during the incident that happened nearly a month ago on the A6116 between Corby and Thrapston. The incident happened on Monday, 15 February at about 1am. A man and a woman were having a row, having got out of their car.The man then allegedly assaulted the woman. Both are believed to be of African origin.The person who stopped advised the victim to contact the police. Officers are now hoping to get in touch with that person.The victim was unable to be more specific about where exactly the incident happened.Anyone with information or who saw anything can contact Northamptonshire police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
