A Wellingborough woman has thanked those who came to her aid after she suffered from a nasty fall in the town centre.
Hilary Martin was walking on the corner of Sheep Street and Market Street when she slipped and cut the back of her head in the afternoon on Thursday, October 29.
Faced with a two and a half hour wait for an ambulance, several people helped her keep calm.
And Hilary says she would like to thank them for helping her in her hour of need.
She said: “I’d like to thank the two police patrol officers and two nurses who passed by and helped me.
“I’d also like to thank the deaf lady whose name I didn’t catch for holding my hand, and Nathan for coming to my rescue.
“I lost my balance and cracked my head and cut it open.
“The ambulance took me to hospital where they glued it back together and thankfully I’ve almost recovered now.”
