A Wellingborough man has been jailed for supplying drugs.

Asher Riviere, 25, of Hatton Park Road, Wellingborough, was jailed for three years at Northampton Crown Court.

Riviere was sentenced on Thursday, May 22, to three years in prison after pleading guilty to a number of drugs offences: possession with intent to supply a class A drug, namely crack cocaine – three years; possession of a class A drug, namely cocaine – four months concurrent, and possession of criminal property, namely cash – 12 months concurrent.

Riviere was arrested after police officers discovered a significant drugs supply operation.

Detective Constable Scott Allan, from the organised crime and drugs team, said: “We are very satisfied with the length of the sentence handed down in this case.

“Drug use has a much wider impact on the community and users commit additional crimes, such as theft and robbery, to fund their habits.

“We are pleased with the outcome of this case and are determined to continue to target those who commit drug crime in our county.”
