A Wellingborough cocaine dealer has been jailed for five-and-a-years after police unearthed a ‘significant’ drug supply operation.
Shpend Duka, a 34-year-old Albanian national of Swinburne Road, Wellingborough, was charged with two offences - possession of a Class A drug, cocaine, with intent to supply and possession of criminal property, namely cash.
Police in Wellingborough located premises that were being used as the base for a significant cocaine supply operation.
Detective Inspector Lorraine Gordon, of the Organised Crime and Drugs Team, said: “We are extremely pleased with the sentence handed down in this case.
“Drug use has a broader impact on the community and users commit burglaries and robberies to fund their habits.
“We are committed to bringing to justice those people who are fuelling this addiction with their drugs supply.”
If you have information about the supply of drugs, call police on 101 - alternatively, information can be reported anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
