A Wellingborough-based coffee company has been chosen as one of the official suppliers to a top Formula One team.
Bella Barista, located in Nene Court, will be providing it in-house roasted coffee to Sahara Force India during the Silverstone Grand Prix, which takes place from Friday to Sunday, July 3 to 5.
Formula One driver and Le Mans 24 Hour winner, Nico Hülkenberg and his team-mate Sergio Perez will be sampling the Wellingborough firm’s wares.
The Silverstone-based racing team has got off to a flying start this season and is currently celebrating its fifth place in the overall F1 World Championship standings after Nico Hülkenberg claimed Sahara Force India’s best result of the season in the Austrian Grand Prix.
Adding to this, the German driver also won the Le Mans 24 Hours this month in his debut race.
The Sahara Force India driver said: “I’m a big fan of good coffee and I’m really enjoying the new Rocket coffee machine we have in our motorhome. In the morning I like an espresso as part of my preparation before I get in the car. In the afternoon, I usually take an Americano.
“Of course, as well as a great coffee machine, you also need good quality coffee beans too: you can really taste the difference.”
Bella Barista’s director, Claudette Porter, said: “We are all so passionate about coffee here at Bella Barista and enjoy providing people with high quality, gourmet coffee. We are delighted that Nico and his team will be enjoying our coffee throughout the European season and we will raise a cup to them here before each race to wish them luck.”
