There is little change expected in the weather over the coming days.
Northants meteorologist Paul Barber from Forecasts4u has provided this forecast exclusively for the Northants Telegraph.
Today: The sunshine will continue for much of the day but cloud amounts will tend to increase from the north later on.
Maximum temperature: 4°C (39°F) in a light to moderate northeast wind which will make it feel colder.
Tonight: Mostly dry to start but cloud will tend to increase as we go through the night, perhaps bringing some light rain or drizzle later in the night.
Any clear spells at first will allow temperatures to drop down to minimums of between 0°C (32°F) and -1°C (30°F) but as that cloud moves in so temperatures will tend to lift slightly later in the night.
Weekend: A lot of dry weather is expected this weekend with daytime temperatures slowly picking up a touch.
While there will be some bright or sunny intervals, there will be a lot of cloud around, the thickest of which could bring some light rain or drizzle at times but shouldn’t amount to much.
There will be a continued risk of frost at night where any clearer skies develop along with some fog patches.
Daytime temperatures will pick up to highs of 6°C or 7°C (43-45°F), with nights seeing lows of -1°C (30°F) under clear skies, otherwise remaining above freezing where the cloud lingers.
Next week: Little change with high pressure dominating bringing plenty of dry weather but with variable amounts of cloud.
