Will spring weather arrive on schedule?
Northants meteorologist Paul Barber from Forecasts4u has provided this forecast exclusively for the Northants Telegraph.
Saturday: It will be a cloudy start to the weekend with a few showers around but these will tend to ease out during the morning with many places then seeing a rather cloudy day with a few bright or sunny spells.
Cloud will increase along with the southerly wind by the evening. Maximum temperature: 9°C (48°F).
Saturday night: A mild, wet and windy night across the county with some heavy rain moving through before turning more showery late in the night.
Lowest temperatures of 6°C (43°F) while fresh to strong south-westerly winds will veer westerly, perhaps increasing to gale force for a time.
Sunday: A rather cold and windy day on Sunday with showers at times, some of which will be on the heavy and blustery side, although there will be some sunny spells developing too.
Temperatures will reach highs of 8°C or 9°C (43-45°F) early in the day before tending to drop while fresh to strong west/north-westerly winds will make it feel colder.
Next week: Rather cold and showery to start with but conditions will tend to become more settled with sunny spells by day but frosty by night.
