Corby Council has issued a warning to residents after an error which will see direct debits for rent payments due next week taken out of bank accounts tomorrow (Thursday).

The error cannot be rectified and has just been brought to the council’s attention.

A Corby Council spokesman said: “We would like to assure tenants that if any bank charges are incurred due to the error that they will be reimbursed.

“We apologise sincerely for any inconvenience this may cause our tenants.”
