Walkers will be putting their best foot forward for the annual Crazy Hats walk tomorrow (Sunday).
The 14th sponsored walk by the Wellingborough-based breast cancer charity starts at 10.30am at Wicksteed Park in Kettering tomorrow.
Glennis Hooper, who founded the charity which raises money to support breast cancer care at Kettering and Northampton general hospitals, said: “It’s a huge event for us.
“There will be lots of familiar faces there.
“The atmosphere is always really lovely, it is a very special event.”
About 2,700 people took part in last year’s walk, which raised about £55,000.
Glennis said they have already had more than 1,300 walkers sign up for the walk, but anyone who has not already registered can still take part by just turning up on the day.
All registered walkers will receive a certificate and goody bag on completion of the walk and a t-shirt on arrival.
The cost to enter is £8 for adults and £5 for children under 16.
Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult.
There are numerous awards up for grabs, with categories including largest family team, craziest hats, largest youth group, youngest participant, oldest participant, the individual raising the highest amount of money and the dog wearing the craziest hat.
The winners of each category will receive their award at the awards night taking place in the pavilion at Wicksteed Park at 7.30pm on Thursday, March 24.
