“The atmosphere is always really lovely, it is a very special event.”

About 2,700 people took part in last year’s walk, which raised about £55,000.

Glennis said they have already had more than 1,300 walkers sign up for the walk, but anyone who has not already registered can still take part by just turning up on the day.

All registered walkers will receive a certificate and goody bag on completion of the walk and a t-shirt on arrival.
