Volunteers needed for litter pick

Do you have some spare time tomorrow to help clean a Corby beauty spot?

Corby Council and Asda have joined forces to litter pick at West Glebe Park from 11am until 1pm tomorrow, Friday September 14.

The community event, which is open to anyone, will start from the West Glebe Park Pavilion where appropriate equipment will be provided – but don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes.

Volunteers can litter pick for as long as they wish throughout the two hours and anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Corby Council Lead Member for Environment Cllr Peter McEwan said: “A community litter pick is a great idea not only to clean up the environment but to also bring the people of Corby together to take pride in our town. I would urge residents to come along with friends and family and turn a litter picking session into a fun day out.”
