Alternatively, email to receive a form.

The deadline for oting is June 29.

The People’s Choice award is part of the prestigious Northamptonshire Museums and Historic Houses Forum Heritage Awards, an annual event, which recognises excellence and showcases achievements in museums, galleries and historic homes in the county.

Shirley Plenderleith, Kettering Council’s head of environmental health, said: “We are really relying on our loyal visitors to help spread the word and make Kettering Museum and Art Gallery winner of the People’s Choice Award once again.

“We last won the award in 2007, and although there is some worthy competition I hope to see us receive the award once again this year, to reflect the phenomenal events and exhibitions programme put on over the last 12 months”.

Cllr Jan Smith, Kettering Council’s portfolio holder for community and culture, said: “We are very proud to be selected for the People’s Choice Award again.

“We should celebrate the varied events and exhibitions that the Museum and Art Gallery constantly provide for us and voting is the perfect way to show them support. Voting only takes a minute and is simple to do. It would mean so much to be the People’s Choice 2014.”

The council has made a short video to encourage more votes, which can be seen above.
