Ashleigh and Pudsey paid a visit to a Kettering care home today (Friday, February 28) to officially open its new Memory Café.
Ashleigh Butler’s talented pooch showed off a number of tricks before Ashleigh cut the ribbon at the café – which is at Ashley Court Care Home in Reservoir Road.
The Memory Café is a place for residents to relax and where they can also meet their friends and family.
It is also open to people with dementia and their carers between 11am and 3pm, Monday to Friday.
Home manager Tracy D’arvigny said: “The café is a place where the residents can socialise and spend time with their relatives and friends.
“There is a menu of cakes and sandwiches to choose from.”
Speaking after cutting the ribbon at the new café, Ashleigh said she would soon be taking a sneak-peek at the ew film starring Pudsey, which is due out in July.
She added: “David Walliams is doing the voice-over at the moment so I’m excited to see it.”
