Urgent appeal to find missing man from Oundle

Lindsay Clarke Prior, also known as Bert, has not been seen since he left his home in South Road at 2pm yesterday (Thursday, January 21)

Bert, who has a serious drink problem, is very well known in Oundle and the surrounding area where he grew up.

He is described as white, about 5ft 11in with a medium build.

He has very short grey hair with a grey thin goatee beard.

When last seen he was wearing blue jeans, a black anorak -tyle jacket & brown ankle boots.

He left home without his mobile phone, wallet and his glasses which he needs to see properly.

It is believed he had some sort of fit the day before he went missing that rendered him unconscious.

Police said he was having lunch at home with his landlord yesterday when for reasons unknown he got up and walked out of the house without saying a word.

He has not been seen since.

Bert is an alcoholic and frequents pubs in the area daily.

He has many friends that he could seek shelter or help from and they might not know he has been reported missing, Bert also might not know he has been reported missing.

There were two incidents yesterday in which members of the public reported seeing a male fitting Bert’s description acting strangely on South Bridge where a man was seen running in and out of the traffic and a second when a man resembling Bert was seen acting strangely near Oundle Marina.
