Animals In Need in Little Irchester is asking for donations of bedding as it looks after animals of all shapes and sizes during the winter months.

A spokesman for the charity said: “We desperately need bedding for the dogs and wildlife - our washing machines and tumble driers can’t cope with the volume at this time of year.

“We would also be grateful for poultry in jelly dog and cat food that can double up for the hedgehogs, we currently have 200 of them.”

Anyone who can help can drop off donations at the charity, which is based at Pine Tree Farm in London Road, Little Irchester.

It is open to the public between midday and 3pm Tuesday to Sunday, but closed on Mondays.
