Two taken to hospital after Desborough crash

Two men have been taken to KGH after a crash between a van and a tipper truck this morning near Desborough.

Emergency services were called to the B576 Harborough Road at about 9am after the incident outside Travel Plaza, at the junction with Brampton Wood Lane.

A police spokesman said the crash involved a white Mercedes Sprinter van and a blue tipper truck but was unable to confirm how it happened at this stage.

The spokesman said nobody involved suffered serious injuries.

The drivers of the van and tipper truck, both male, were taken to KGH as a precautionary measure.

Police closed the road so the vehicles could be recovered before re-opening it at about 11.45am.
