Two people hospitalised after accident on the A6

Two people have been taken to hospital after two cars were involved in an accident on the A6 earlier this morning.

The fire service were called to the incident, on the A6 Burton Latimer bypass, at around 6.45am and released two people using hydraulic rescue equipment. A spokesman for the fire service confirmed that the two people were taken to hospital by ambulance upon release.

The police also attended and closed the road between Kettering and Finedon. However, the police have now confirmed that the road has since been cleared and was re-opened at around 9.05am.
