Two former Rotary presidents are given fellowship honours

Two members of Kettering Rotary Club have been given a prestigious award.

Paul Harris Fellowships were presented to Malcom Bithray and Colin Thompson at the club’s annual charter dinner by district governor Margaret Horley.

Both Malcolm and Colin have made significant contributions to the administration of the club, and both of them have been the club’s president.

Malcolm Bithray is the club secretary and vice-president, and will be taking on the presidency in 2015-16 for the second time.

Colin Thompson is now in his fourth year as the club’s treasurer.

The Paul Harris Fellowship was designed by Rotary International in 1957 to promote voluntary giving.

Rotary clubs have adapted the fellowship and now it is a prestigious accolade for distinguished service by Rotarians and members of the community in which Rotary serves.
