A Royal British Legion stalwart has died.
Brian Walker was for more than 20 years at the forefront of all aspects of the Legion’s work throughout Northamptonshire.
His work included being a past chairman and treasurer of Finedon, Irthlingborough and District RBL, a Poppy Appeal organiser, welfare worker and parade marshall.
He was also until very recently treasurer of the Northamptonshire County RBL.
All of these duties he carried out on a volunteer basis.
He was supported by his wife Julie, family and very many friends, and he was well respected by all who knew and worked with him.
His funeral will take place at 11am on Friday, May 15, at St Peter’s Church, Irthlingborough.
