Tresham College increases higher education provision in Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough

The University Centre at Tresham College, which has bases in Kettering, Corby and Wellingborough, has launched its brand new 2016/17 prospectus with degree level courses starting from as early as this month.

New courses for 2016 include the HNC/D in Business Management which is taught via a blended learning approach, which combines online learning with face-to-face lectures.

This flexible course allows students to balance study with work and family commitments.

For those considering a career in the ever-changing industry of travel and tourism, Tresham University Centre is now offering the HNC/D in travel and tourism management.

The course focuses on theoretical knowledge of the industry while also developing practical skills, utilising Tresham’s very own plane fuselage as a unique training environment.

Another new course being introduced in September to meet the demands of a growing industry in Northamptonshire is the HNC/D in construction engineering.

The course covers key areas including architecture, quantity surveying, management, civil engineering and building services engineering.

The course is ideal for those who may have been working within the industry after leaving school and now wish to improve their potential for promotion into management.

The new foundation degree in disability studies will begin in September for those who want to develop their knowledge in regards to the demands on industry.

Referencing existing policy and practice, students will understand the various models of disability, reflect on theoretical perspectives, identify barriers to participation and understand how disability studies is informed by the experiences of disabled people.

This is ideal for those wishing to progress in their careers including teaching assistants in special schools.
