A man will be swapping coffee cups for walking boots – raising money for Guide Dogs by walking across the north of the county.
Matt Beacham, who is starting his walk in Stratford upon Avon, is walking through Kettering, Brigstock and Oundle on his way to Norfolk.
He is hoping to raise enough money to name his own Shakespeare puppy. The cost of a guide dog is around £50,000, and with no Government funding available, the dogs have to rely on the generosity of the public.
Matt said: “My Aunt Jackie is a puppy walker and I’m honoured to support her and the Guide Dogs.
“A guide dog makes such a difference to a person’s life, which is why I want to raise enough to help a puppy start that journey.”
